Yesterday was a full day...a little bit of everyday, a surprise, and a special occasion all rolled into one! Today is my brother-in-law Tommy's wedding to Kelli....we are so excited! Relatives in visiting from out of town, will get to spend time with my special niece, Amanda. But yesterday...Anna got a surprise in the mail! She LOVES dogs...and especially fell in love with Gunner when we were in Ohio recently. She got a card in the mail from "Gunner" with his picture in it...she was so excited!
Here she is holding his picture....

This picture of Gunner now graces our fridge, so she can "visit" him everyday!

Made 8 dozen of these...chocolate buttercream filled tarts for the wedding...soooooo good!
Ronnie and Anna...adventuring outside..he calls his hat his "Indiana Jones" hat...even though he's never seen the movies, he knows he is an explorer.
Helping Dad rake up clippings....before coming inside for lunch...
Cheese quesadillas with fresh, homemade salsa....Yum!

~After a yummy lunch, and freshening up, Ron and I were off to the rehearsal at the church, then dinner afterwards....wedding today! Will post about the wedding sometime soon...late night tonight, then after church tomorrow....2 picnics! Hope everyone has a blessed weekend! ~Sue~

Those cookies look delicious. You MUST make some for care group snacks one of these days. Enjoy the wedding!
Thanks for posting my picture and making me not only a very smart dog, but a famous one as well.
Gunner
What is the salsa recipe?

I love Anna's surprise! That was so sweet of Mrs. Henderson. :)
Coming from a non dog lover- Gunner is pretty cute!! :)
How cute to get a postcard from a dog. AND...You've given me a fantastic idea! I'm going to have my dog send my cousin's dog postcards with updates of what's going on at our house seen through her eyes. And maybe send them to my Mom's cat. See how brilliant you are!
Mmmm, those cheese quesadillas look mighty delicious. I might have to whip up something similar for the hungry multitudes here.
Great to meet you.
How great was that for Anna. Enjoy the wedding can't wait to see pictures. please post the receipe for those cookies YUMMY!! I don't think they will slide and fall all over the frig LOL.
Miss you all.

Those tarts look fabulous!! Wish you could send some my way.
That salsa looks great too. jarred salsa absolutely cannot compare to the fresh homemade stuff.
And Gunner....why, he's nearly as cute as my Ginger dog!!
Love,
Patti
